‘Hey I’m Alicia, founder of both ‘Motivating Mums’ & ‘Motivating Me’, and Mum of five. I initially started as a Secondary School Physical Education, Health and Science Teacher then moved into part time work as a Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer (where I met Jaz and Larnya) while my three oldest children were younger (now 13yrs, 14yrs, 16yrs). I remarried in 2018 and moved into a full time role as a Director of Sport in a High School before resigning to have my two youngest children who are now 4yr and 6yrs old. It was when I was on maternity leave in 2020 that I accidentally founded ‘Motivating Mums’ when I started sharing health and wellness tips and taking free online workouts to help people during lock-down. This business then evolved into what is now known as ‘Motivating Me’ in November 2022 which provides ‘Complete Wellness” to everyone - not just Mums!

"Hi I'm Jaz and I was born in Timaru and still here (probably won't leave). I have two little kiddies, Ivy 6 and Luka 3.
I've been into health & fitness for about 15 years now. I started out by running around the block, to signing up at a local gym not really knowing what I was doing. I competed in a 'body building' competition back in 2016, placing 2nd the bikini category. It took lots of dedication with exercise and nutrition but so proud of myself for doing it!
After my competition I started taking Les Mills classes at CBay, which I still currently do. I instruct RPM and Sprint spin classes.
I've been part of the 'Motivating Me' team since January 2021 and I have enjoyed every part of it!
At the start it was a little weird talking and working out to a camera, but now I feel like I'm talking to my friends.
I've fallen over on camera, shared exciting news and cried but the community is so
uplifting and supportive to one another even though most are strangers to each other.
If you've been on the fence about joining, give it o go. What's the worst that could happen? This could be what you've been waiting for."

Growing up in Rangiora I made the move to Timaru for my first job out of University. Thinking it would only be for a couple of years, I married a local lad and we now have three young children.
I have always enjoyed gym classes and went along to Les Mills Combat classes with my Dad as a teenager. Dad then started instructing which gave me the confidence to become one myself when an opportunity arose 14 years ago.
I am really enjoying being part of the 'Motivating Me' team and putting the workouts together. It's so rewarding hearing the positive feedback and how much members enjoy the classes. It's one great community to be a part of!

Born in Christchurch, now Auckland based. I’ve always been drawn to how training can shape both the body and the mind - which is why I studied Sport and Exercise Science and why I love what I do now.
I’m all about sessions that challenge you, build real functional strength, and leave you feeling switched on and capable. The goal is to keep showing up, keep improving, and enjoy the process along the way.
Seeing people grow more confident in their movement, mindset, and daily energy - that’s the part I’m here for. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Motivating Me.

Hi everyone! My name is Beth and I teach Yoga in the amazing 'Motivating Me' team.
I was born in the UK and have been living in New Zealand for over 13 years, living in Timaru for the last 2 years.
I'm a working Mum of two, Sienna aged 3 and Harvey aged 7.
I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and I've been teaching since completing my yoga teacher training in Queenstown in 2017.
I have always been a positive, genuine and caring individual with a deep desire to help others. My authentic approach to teaching invites students to cultivate self-compassion and enquiry, bringing healing, strength, joy, peace and wellness from within.
I feel so grateful to be a part of the wonderful
